Chino Hills is an affluent, master-planned suburb tucked into the southwestern corner of San Bernardino County, where rolling former ranchland meets the edges of Los Angeles, Orange, and Riverside counties. Once cattle pasture and a Prohibition-era bootlegger hideaway, it transformed through a 1979 specific plan into a city of about 78,000 with 44 parks and miles of trails. It is nationally known for the Ball basketball brothers and for one of North America's most elaborate hand-carved Hindu temples.
